CALVIÀ LAUNCHES A MUNICIPAL WEB TO INCORPORATE AND SHARE IMAGES OF THE MUNICIPALITY
The Calvià Town Hall launches the web of photographs www.fotosdecalvia.com with the aim of opening an interactive space, and that becomes an image file of the municipality, for public use.
Thus, the Town Hall will put at the citizenship's disposal a repository that will allow the uploading of photographs of individuals willing to share them, while they will be able to download those images uploaded on the web by other people or the Town Hall itself. Therefore, it is a collaborative space either for internal use by the Town Hall, or external by the people.
The idea is that the web collects, catalogues and disseminates the photos of the municipality, that becomes a kind of memory of Calvià in pictures and one more way to know the different areas of the municipality.
Old and modern, historic and current, of landscapes or places and people photographs can be uploaded, which will be validated from the Town Hall. Who has provided the photograph, a title and a brief explanation of it can be indicated next to each image. They will be organised per zones or areas and per labels.
