About twenty people face a new job search in the IV Launcher of Calvià
20 unemployed people have begun to train a new job search in the fourth Employment Launcher of Calvià, driven by the Town Hall, the Obra Social "La Caixa" and Fundación Santa María la Real.
It is the second launcher operating this year in the municipality, thanks to the funding of 52.500 euros by the Town Hall, and a contribution of 10.000 euros from the Obra Social "La Caixa".
The team of this new edition is made up of 15 unemployed women and 5 unemployed men, aged between 24 and 59 years old. They have different training profiles (with no studies, ESO, Vocational Training, A levels, university studies) and from different sectors such as communication, trade, administration, health, hospitality, sport or industrial design, amongst others.
Inma Alcina, technician of Santa María la Real Foundation, has conducted the selection process and is responsible for managing Calvià's launcher over the next five months. She explains that it is a heterogeneous group, with very diverse experiences, with which she will train a team job search, so they can improve their motivation, learn new tools, reinforce their transversal competences and multiply their labour insertion opportunities.
"They want to improve their curriculum vitae, train job interviews, present and define well their professional profiles (knowledge + skills + attitudes + principles), win visibility, expand the contacts network and access companies", says Inma Alcina.
What will they do in the launcher?
During the next five months, they will meet several days a week in the IFOC's premises. To improve their employability, they will undertake coaching and emotional intelligence sessions, communication dynamics, personal branding and job search 2.0; training personal interviews; employability maps, company visits, meetings with entrepreneurs and labour intermediation processes with responsibles of Human Resources.
