The period for voting on proposals accepted by the Technical Commission is now open
Friday 2nd December 2016
THE CITIZENSHIP CAN NOW VOTE THE PROPOSALS THAT NEIGHBOURS OF CALVIÀ HAVE PRESENTED TO THE PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING
Until 16th December, they will be able to vote amongst the 32 projects that have been validated by the Technical Commission
The citizenship of Calvià can already vote amongst the 32 proposals submitted by the neighbours of Calvià for the participatory budgets.
The platform is activated since yesterday1st December, so that the voting on the proposals that the Technical Commission has assessed as viable can be carried out so that they can be part of the majority of the Participatory Budgets which, for the first time in Calvià, may decide the citizenship.
The 32 proposals accepted by the Technical Commission meet the requirements set out in the project: whoever presents the initiative must be neighbour of Calvià, must be responsibility of the Town Hall, mut be viable, must not contravene the current regulations, must not coincide with initiatives that are already under way or are already planned by the Town Hall and must cost less than the allocated budget (€ 30,000). 37 have been ruled out for not meeting some of these requirements or because they are maintenance proposals that have been derived to the green line.
To vote, you must access the website www.participacalvia.es and register. Only those registered in the municipality who are over 16 years old can vote, and they will be able to vote a number of projects that all together do not exceed 350,000 euros, which is the budget foreseen for 2017. The deadline is from 1st to 16th December.
The proposals that have been presented are accompanied by a brief explanation and an approximate assessment of the cost of the initiative.
The area of Citizen Participation and Youth coordinates the process in collaboration with the different technical departments of the areas involved. The Deputy Mayor, Fernando Alcaraz, thanked the work of the technical committee, which has allowed to meet the deadlines set for launching this third phase as planned. Alcaraz has stressed that the participatory budgets, that are part of the investiture's agreement, will again place Calvià at the vanguard of the political participation.
