Both, the Counselor for Environment of the Consell de Mallorca, Sandra Espeja, and the Councillor Delegate for Environment, Francisca Muñoz, have visited the 'Comando Natura' in Son Ferrer (Calvià)

The Counselor Sandra Espeja, responsible for the Department of Environment of the Consell de Mallorca; the Councillor Delegate for Commerce, Activities and Environment of Calvià Town Hall, Francisca Muñoz, and the Councillor of the area of Son Ferrer, Alfonso Molina, visited this morning the "Comando Natura", a team of environmental advisers from Ecoembes which this week is in Calvià informing the citizens about how to separate to recycle.

Both Espeja and Muñoz have pointed out that the evolution of selective collection, both in Calvià and in the rest of Mallorca, is satisfactory, but that we must continue working to reach, in 2020, the challenge imposed by the European Union, that 70% of the waste comes from selective collection. For this reason, both put in value the work of the "Comando Natura", since education and environmental information are key elements to increase recycling.

The "Comando Natura" has already been in various parts of the municipality, providing information on the street and answering questions from neighbours, and today they were in front of the public school of Son Ferrer. In addition to reporting on the street, the Comando is holding meetings with various neighbourhood and senior citizen associations of Calvià.

The actions of the Comando until next Saturday are: tomorrow, day 27, they will be in the Gran Via of El Toro, between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.; and on the 28th, at the same time, in Llorer St. in Peguera.
