The second edition of the musical contest starts

The second edition of MUSICALVIÀ will have this year one of the most acclaimed singers in the current music scene: Melendi, who will close the contest which, for the second consecutive year, is organised by Calvià Town Hall, through the area of Citizen Participation and Youth, with a concert to be held on 15th July at the Recinto Ferial del molino de Santa Ponça (Santa Ponça mill fairgrounds).
Melendi will perform in Calvià in the framework of the tour Quítate las gafas, in a concert in which the group or soloist winner of the contest will act as supporting artist.
The tickets are already on sale through the usual internet channels, Melendi's official website (https://www.melendioficial.com/) and, at the Participation and Youth Department of the Ajuntament (carrer Julià Bujosa Sans, Batle, 1, Calvià) and in Es Generador (carrer Voranova, 8, Son Caliu), during office hours. Special price for Calvià residents.
MUSICALVIÀ 2017 is a musical festival aimed at young people in which they can show their musical and artistic inquisitiveness. Soloists and young groups between 12 and 35 years old from the Balearic Islands can participate.
The festival performances, prior to the final concert, will take place in the “Amplificador” hall of the youth building known as 'Es Generador'.
To register for the competition, you must collect the form in Es Generador, at the Citizen Participation and Youth Department of the Ajuntament, and can be downloaded on the municipal website www.calvia.com/juventud

The Participation and Youth Department of Calvià Town Hall launches for the second year a competition which the Garanya group won in the first edition, and which performed, along with 4 other finalists, with Reincidentes.
This year, as explained by the Deputy Mayor Fernando Alcaraz, 3 awards are established:
MUSICALVIÀ 2017 prize, whose winner will act with Melendi.
CALVIANER prize, the group or soloist of Calvià obtaining a higher score will be awarded with a purchase voucher valued at 1.000 euros for musical material.
LANZADERA CALVIANER prize, the group or soloist of Calvià whose members are under 18 years old and having obtained a higher score, will have a purchase voucher valued at 300 euros for musical material and 15 hours to rehearsal in an equipped studio in Es Generador.
