THE TOWN HALL LAUNCHES THE FIRST ACTIVITY OF THE PARTICIPATORY BUDGETING OF CALVIÀ
This is a project proposed by a neighbour of Calvià that had the support of a great number of citizens. The activity is aimed at families and is entitled "La importancia del vínculo con nuestros hijos e hijas"(The importance of the bond with our sons and daughters)
From the municipal pre-education schools of Calvià (0-3 years), through the IMEB (Institut Municipal d'Educació i Biblioteques) the first activity approved within the framework of the first participatory budgeting of the municipality has been launched. It is the project Family Workshops "The importance of the bond with our sons and daughters". The objective is to cover the needs of education, information and counseling to families in aspects related to the education, socialisation and health of their children, as well as providing a space where families can be participants and protagonists. The proposal is the result of the contribution of a neighbour of the municipality that obtained the sufficient support of the citizens to be implemented, in the process of the first participatory budgeting.
The workshops scheduled to take place in March and April are as follows:
-Infant massage workshop – aimed at families with children from 0 to 18 months.
Its purpose is to promote bonding and communication through touch.
-Music workshop "Cántame un cuento" (sing me a story) – aimed at families with children aged 1 and 2 years.
It is a workshop that joins children's music and literature through the creative experience. It will work with music, games, singing, body and movement.
Psychomotor education workshop – aimed at families with children between 2 and 3 years old. This workshop considers on the one hand, the emotional, cognitive and affective (psycho) side and on the other hand everything related to the body and movement (mobility). With psychomotricity it wants to offer children the emotional attention and individual accompaniment necessary to favour their evolutionary process, favouring the expression of their emotions and facilitating their relationships and communication. One of the objectives is to help create pleasant, cheerful and familiar environments so that children and adults can play, discovering that both can be playmates.
The workshops will be taught by specialists in the different subjects. Registrations must be made in the municipal 'escoletes' (nurseries) of Calvià. It is planned to repeat these workshops in November.
