Both, the Town Hall and the Regional Government, through the public company SEMILLA, have organised a basic level course on professional user of phytosanitary products taught by the agronomist Jaume Ripoll. In order to achieve a sustainable use of phytosanitary products, users and vendors must be in possession of a card that accredits knowledge to carry out their activity. At the request of the peasants and neighbours of Calvià in the project of the first Participative Budgeting, the Calvià Town Hall has organised this 25-hour-course in es Capdellà, which has 35 people registered, who were welcomed by the councillor for Environment, Francisca Muñoz.
In addition, and in the line of promoting ecological farming, a specific pest control course for organic farming has been organised and which will start on 21st April and will be taught by the biologist Miquel Serra.
