The Calvià Town Hall has signed a collaboration agreement with the company Future Festivals for the realisation of the 'Third Traditional Tattoo & World Culture Festival' in the municipality

The Deputy Mayor for Social Cohesion and Equality, Nati Francés, and the General Director of Future Festival S.L., Marcos Javier Rodríguez, have signed this agreement by which Calvià Town Hall collaborates in this international event to be held between the 17th and 24
th May at El Molino de Calvià fairgrounds in Santa Ponça.

The Third Traditional Tattoo & World Culture Festival is one of the most important exhibitions of cultures and tribal tattoos at the international level and is directed by Phil Cummins and Joanna Mlynarczyk. The event aims to show the public the work of artists and performers from indigenous tribal cultures and the deepest jungles.

About 200 artists, of all styles and provenances, will meet in Calvià. More than 6,000 visitors are expected to attend the fair, who will be able to enjoy not only the presence of the best tattoo artists of the moment but also various activities and workshops as well as exhibitions, conferences, seminars, art and cinema.

This festival was previously held in 2010 and 2011. In 2010, Phil Cummins organised the first Traditional Tattoo and Cultural World Culture Festival on the island of Cobh, County Cork, Ireland, where it was held for 2 consecutive years. These two festivals brought together approximately 8,000 people.

There will also be a charity auction with all the works given by the artists in favour of ASDICA (Association of people with disabilities of Calvià) and APNAB Gaspar Hauser (Autistic Children Parents Association of the Balearic Islands).
