The presentation of the Santa Ponça Health Centre extension has taken place today. The presentation was attended by the President Francina Armengol; the Mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal; the Regional Minister for Health, Patricia Gómez; The Deputy Mayor and Councillor of the area of Santa Ponça, Nati Francés; the Director of Ibsalut, Juli Fuster; and the Director of Primary Care of Mallorca, Miquel Caldentey.

The Santa Ponça Health Centre is a reference centre since, in addition to the usual services, it has physiotherapy, mental health and women's services. Research is carried out in the centre which means an added value. Calvià has two health centres, in addition to basic health units, but the one in Santa Ponça is responsible for night and weekend emergencies.
