THE CALVIÀ TOWN HALL REPORTS ON THE ACTIVITY CLOSURE DECREE OF THE ESTABLISHMENT BCM
The Calvià Town Hall has decreed, today, the total closure of the activity of the establishment BCM of Magaluf, reason why it will not be able to open its doors until the irregularities that have been detected are not amended.
The Town Hall has taken this decision in the framework of the revision of the planning licenses of the establishment. This has meant the revocation of the first occupancy license corresponding to a major work file initiated in 2015. First occupancy licenses are those that are granted prescriptively after any major work.
The closure order takes place once the municipal technicians have detected the existence of a concurrence of irregularities in the mentioned works project, consisting in a relevant omission of data, specifically in reference to the refrigeration towers and other facilities that without having license are illegal. The verification of these irregularities has determined the need to decree the closure.
This revocation is also related to the procedure currently under way for the revision of the license to open and operate the aforementioned BCM facility, which is directly linked to the aforementioned refrigeration towers, which have repeatedly been omitted from the various files. It is to be highlighted that both procedures are being prosecuted by the Town Hall in the area of criminal proceedings that are followed in the Court of Instruction number 12 of Palma.
As already informed at the time, the Calvià Town Hall acts and will act with forcefulness against any indication of possible irregularities, applying with absolute rigour the procedural rules.
