The 33rd edition of the event will have more than 1500 participants.
The 21km -race will feature some of the most prominent national and local athletes.

The 33rd edition of SOL HALF MARATHON MAGALUF will take place next Saturday 29th April at 5.30 p.m.

The race, which will have the attractions of other years, introduces a series of novelties regarding previous editions:
More participation: distributed amongst the different races that make up the event, Half Marathon, 10 km, I Urban mile SHMM and Kids Sol Run.
A new itinerary: designed in collaboration with local athletes. It combines the beauty of coastal, natural and urban environments. The result is a circuit faster than the previous ones, which goes through the areas of Magaluf, Son Ferrer and Palmanova.
A Karting circuit within the itinerary: the participants of the half marathon will run 2 kilometres through the circuit of Magaluf Karting. Undoubtedly one more attraction of the event.
Arrival at the beach of Magaluf: participants will run the last 100 metres on the sand of Magaluf beach. The finish arch will be located in front of the hotel Sol Wave House Mallorca, showing a beautiful view of the beach and the island of sa Porrassa. A unique setting to successfully complete any sporting challenge.
A new race: the Sol Half Marathon Magaluf adds to its attractions a new race, the Urban Mile SHMM. It is a very fast competition of 1,604 metres in which athletes will run through the central avenues of Magaluf. It will be held on Thursday 27th April starting at 8 p.m.
The most lively race: the participants will enjoy during the race the performances of the Dimonis and the Batucada of the Factoria de So, the Dj's of Mallorca Live Festival and 40 Principales, amongst others.
At stake, up to 6,400 € in prizes: that serve to ensure the presence of the best local athletes and some outstanding national and international athletes. The system of economic prizes is established taking into account not only the ranking but the time realised.
Parallel activities: the main race is completed with other activities such as: I Urban Mile SHMM (27th April 2017); the Kids Sol Run, children's race (28th April 2017); and the Pasta Party (28th April 2017).
The organisation works intensively to add new proposals to an event that will undoubtedly continue with its projection, always according to the basic lines that the three organisations with competence in the event, Fundación Calvià 2004, Ajuntament de Calvià and Sol Hotels & Resorts have established:
Fight against tourist seasonality through the production of sporting events of great international impact.
Provide runners with a successful race experience.
Involve the citizens of the municipality of Calvià in the project.
