“EL AJEDREZ COMO HERRAMIENTA PEDAGÓGICA Y DE INCLUSIÓN SOCIAL” (CHESS AS A PEDAGOGICAL AND SOCIAL INCLUSION TOOL) ORGANISED BY THE KASPAROV FOUNDATION FOR IBEROAMERICA WILL BE HELD ON 1ST AND 2ND JUNE IN CALVIÀ


-The event tours thirteen Spanish cities during the months of May and June


The Kasparov Foundation for Ibero America will hold an international seminar entitled
“El Ajedrez como Herramienta Pedagógica y de Inclusión Social” (Chess as a Pedagogical and Social Inclusion Tool) at the IES Bendinat on 1st and 2nd June with the collaboration of Calvià Town Hall, the Regional Ministry of Education, Caixabank, Grupo Prisa and other collaborators. The event tours thirteen Spanish cities during the months of May and June.

For those who enroll, in addition to the classroom hours, the training is complemented by an online course. The whole seminar covers a total of 230 hours divided between the two modalities, face-to-face and distance.


The event will be attended by Miguel Illescas, grandmaster and eight-time Spain absolute chess champion and the prestigious expert commentator, Leontxo García.

The Kaspárov Chess Foundation for IberoAmerica seeks to incorporate young people into the world of chess, to make them aware of the benefits of their frequent practice to favour the development of skills, both cognitive and emotional.
