The deputy mayor for Security, Andreu Serra, and the head of the Local Police of Calvià, Justino Trenas, have met this morning with the president of the Hotel Association of Palmanova-Magaluf, Sebastián Darder, the vice president of the entity, Juan Espina, and the lieutenant commander of the main post of the Civil Guard of Calvià, Eduardo Herrero, to analyse the situations that lead to uncivil behaviour, in a framework of collaboration between public and private initiative.
Andreu Serra, has reiterated the importance of the involvement of all actors - administrations, businessmen and civil society - to censure and denounce any attitude that tarnishes the image of the destination. For this reason, he pointed out that one of the fundamental things is that hoteliers continue in the line of expelling uncivic tourists from their establishments.
For his part, Sebastián Darder stressed that "the contacts maintained in recent days with the Government Delegation, which has pledged its full support, and the conclusions of today's coordination meeting, show us once again the importance of adding all the efforts that merge in a tourist destination like Magaluf, and ratify the commitment of the Government Delegation, the Town Hall and the Security Forces to protect the achievements achieved in the conversion of Magaluf during the last years and give a new opportunity to the destination.
