MALLORCA LIVE FESTIVAL COMPLETES ITS LINEUP OF ARTISTS WITH THE INCORPORATION OF BLACK LIPS, HENRIK SCWARZ, MACACO AND LA CASA AZUL
The organisation announces the complete lienup of artists of its third edition, which will be held on 11th and 12th May at the old Aquapark of Magaluf, Calvià, and is consolidated as the most important festival of the Balearic Islands.
Black Lips, Henrik Schwarz, Macaco, La Casa Azul, Morgan, Sobrinus, El Petit de Cal Eril, DJ Coco, DJs From Mars, Agoraphobia, The Wheels, Jump to the Moon, Jane Yo, Gate 4, Cápital, Borchi y su Doble Redoble, The Market Noise and Monxos are the new incorporations.
The festival was presented today at a press conference in Mallorca with the participation of the event's management, Calvià Town Hall and Sol House by Meliá.
This morning, the Mallorca Live Festival has announced the complete lineup of artists of its third edition, which will take place on 11th and 12th May at the old Aquapark of Calvià.
International artists such as Black Lips and Henrik Schwarz; nationals such as Macaco, La Casa Azul and Morgan; and some prominent Mallorcan groups such as The Wheels, Jane Yo and Gate 4.are added to the names that were already known, headed by artists such as The Prodigy and Primal Scream.
In total, there will be 40 artists and more than 20 hours of live music divided into 3 stages in which independent, electronic and mix music and the most outstanding urban sounds of the moment will be included.

The Mallorca Live, renowned this year as the most important music festival of the Balearic Islands in terms of infrastructure, artists and convening, will feature the presence of some of the most important independent music groups of the moment: Black Lips, Izal,! !! (Chk Chk Chk), Morgan, Polock, Sobrinus, El Petit de Cal Eril, Agoraphobia, Jump to the Moon or Cápital. Furthermore, it will count with a large group of Mallorcan bands such as L.A., Sexy Sadie, Oso Leone, The Wheels, Jane Yo, Gate 4, Thony Bloom and Monxos.
This edition also stands out for its proposal of electronic music with some of the most important DJs of the international and national scene: Solomun, Nina Kraviz, Vitalic, Henrik Schwarz, DJ Coco, DJs From Mars and Kiko Melis. Urban and mixed music will be performed by Kase.O, Muchachito, La Raíz, Bad Gyal and The Market Noise. There will also be the freshest proposals from Latin America: Chancha Via Circuito, Los Espíritus and Borchi y su Doble Redoble.
PRESS CONFERENCE
The announcement was made this morning at a press conference held at the Innside Palma Bosque hotel in Palma de Mallorca, headed by the festival director, Álvaro Martínez, the mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, the Global Brand Marketing director of Sol by Meliá, Sara Matarrubia; Sebastián Vera, artistic director of the festival, and the musicians Mikel Izal and Emanuel Pérez of Izal, Luís Alberto Segura of LA and Jaime Soriano of Sexy Sadie, and attended by the deputy mayor for Social Cohesion and Equality, responsible for Culture, Nati Francés.
The festival director, Álvaro Martínez, highlighted the growth of the event since its first edition and the commitment of the festival to place Mallorca on the circuit of major European festivals. That is why in 2018 the budget has been increased to1.8 million euros and the investment in artistic events has doubled.
The mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, stressed in his speech the importance that the celebration of the Mallorca Live Festival has for the municipality in general, and for Magaluf in particular, because it adds an attraction to one of the main tourist destinations of the Mediterranean as it is Calvià making it an international cultural and musical reference during the days of the festival. The positive impact, he added, is undeniable both for the projection of Magaluf, and for the benefit of the business community and the citizens of the area.
For Sol House, the existence of Mallorca Live Festival multiplies the appeal of the destination to attract this new target of young millennials who seek an experience beyond accommodation, a lifestyle experience, where music, trends, the party environment with a touch of sophistication and the social character merges in a perfect balance. The director of Global Brand Marketing of Sol by Meliá, Sara Matarrubia, stressed that Sol House customers will be able to enjoy additional events during the week of the festival as well as unique benefits, such as the "All day breakfast", late departure or the invitation to the After Festival Pool Party on Sunday.
The press conference also counted with the participation of the musicians Mikel Izal and Emanuel Pérez of Izal, the independent music band of the moment, who these days present the first songs of their imminent new album, "Autoterapia". Also, Luis Alberto Segura of the group LA, maximum representative of the Mallorcan music scene and who has just returned from his successful European tour, and Jaime Soriano of Sexy Sadie, who presented the re-edition of his legendary album "It's Beautiful It's Love", which is twenty years old since its original publication, will meet again on the stage of the Mallorca Live Festival.
