The Calvià Town Hall does not authorise the 'Fira del motor Calvià 2018' activity for security reasons and for not providing certain required documentation
The Calvià Town Hall does not authorise the 'Fira del motor Calvià 2018' event programmed for 26th May, in the car park of the old Aquapark of Magaluf, mainly for security reasons and for not providing part of the required documentation by the organising entity.
The technical services of the Town Hall have verified on site that with regards to the installation of the 'bullring' (of dimensions of 40 metres in diametre, of the part of the arena), in which the realisation of acrobatics and vehicle jumps was expected, the promoter of the event has not been able to certify the minimum safety conditions regarding the public attending the activity. The technical report is unfavourable on the celebration of the event due to the fact that the necessary safety measures are not met, and, therefore, it is not guaranteed that situations of serious or imminent danger to the safety and integrity of the attending public can not occur.
The lack of certain documentation required for the celebration of the event, and, above all, the lack of guarantee for the people's safety in the area called 'bullring', determine the impossibility of authorising the event by the Calvià Town Hall.
The Town Hall regrets the inconvenience that the decision may cause to the people who had planned to attend the event, but its obligation is to ensure safety and, in this case, the technical reports conclude that it is not guaranteed.
