SWIM FOR MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS ON SUNDAY 8TH JULY
Multiple Sclerosis is a central nervous system disease, in other words, of the nerves that form the brain and spinal cord and that interferes with the ability of the brain and spinal cord to control functions such as seeing, walking, talking, etc. Its causes are unknown and can not be prevented or cured yet. However, it is not fatal and great progress is being made in its treatment and in the identification of the mechanisms that are implicit in its development.
Swim for Multiple Sclerosis is the most important act of solidarity with people with this disease and intends that one day a year, all of us, can make a small gesture such as swim, to show solidarity towards people suffering from this disease.
For this reason, we encourage you to participate on Sunday 8th July between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., at the municipal swimming pool of Magaluf. Come and spend a fun and above all solidary morning.
In addition, throughout the morning you can enjoy an aquagym class, a synchronised swimming exhibition by the Club natación Calvià, and various children's games.
Collaborate with this activity to increase social awareness about Multiple Sclerosis and raise funds to maintain and improve the services provided by the entities.
What does it consist of?
In a symbolic way, the solidarity metres that you swim are counted and a diploma accrediting your participation is given to you. You can also buy t-shirts, hats, towels and other merchandising materials decorated with original designs of an exclusive brand.
Admission to this event is free and you can stay in the pool until 8 p.m.The use of a bathing cap is essential.
