La Gran Verbena Mallorca Festival Calvià, to be held on 15th April, in Plaza Torà in Peguera, and which in its sixth edition comes with a new format, was presented today at Vibra Beverly Playa Hotel.
The mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, and the president of the Peguera and Cala Fornells Hotel Association, Antonio Mayol, together with the festival's promoter, José Antonio Muñoz, have presented the event whose objective is to revitalise the productive and residential sector of the area, with a forecast that over the two days more than 8.000 people will attend.
The presentation was attended by the Peguera councillor, Olga Granados; the Town Hall's general director of Tourism, Xavier Pascuet; Gori Bonet, representing the FEHM and members of the board of directors of the Hotel Association and representatives of the sponsors of the event.
The mayor thanked the hotel association for its commitment to boost the area and its tourist activity with a product, such as a music festival, which accompanies the destination and offers a quality experience that serves to build customer loyalty and, in addition, helps tourist activity extend the season. The Town Hall will always collaborate in events like these, he has assured.
On his behalf, the president of the Peguera and Cala Fornells Hotel Association has indicated that they are confident that this event, which aims to promote the destination, revitalize the area and encourage reservations after Easter, will be consolidated as the celebration of Tourist Day that has been celebrated for 25 years in Peguera.
