IFOC SUPPORTS ENTREPRENEURS IN INNOVATION THROUGH CONNECT'UP
The local employment agency is committed to exploring new market niches that make Calvià more competitive
The Calvià Training and Employment Institute (IFOC) collaborates with the sixth edition of Connect'UP 2023, the project that promotes entrepreneurship. Calvià supports the initiative with the conviction that the business initiatives that can occur in the municipality contribute to improving the efficiency of the local tourism industry, while exploring new market niches to diversify the economy and deseasonalise tourism in the municipality of Calvià. As every year, the IFOC collaborates in an active and specialised way with its entrepreneurship area, which also helps all Calvians who want to participate in the open collaborative programme of Connect'Up with their own projects.
Connect'UP consists of identifying, evaluating, and recognising work and ideas that contribute positively to business development. Then, active and professional support continues to promote the entrepreneurial ecosystem of innovative ideas through training and guidance from different experts. The purpose is to connect the investing organizations with the companies selected in the process. This is, promote the growth and development of startups with the help of representatives of the business and innovation fabric of the Balearic Islands.
The Connect'UP programme is organised by Grup Serra and is sponsored by Caixabank. It is an approach open to the collaboration of all companies and entities that work to build a prosperous future, in a network collaboration to spread innovation and entrepreneurship in our community. In this edition, the Start, Sprint and Youth categories stand out. Registrations can be completed on the website www.connectup.es starting today and until 8th October.
