Over the next few days Calvià Town will carry out a survey amongst the residents of Calvià Town and Es Capdellà so as they may express their opinión regarding the possible construction of subsidised housing in the two areas.
This survey is a fulfillment of a promise made in its day by Mayor Carlos Delgado before the local elections in May. When announcing his decision to stand again for Mayor he declared that he would bear in mind the residents opinions with regard to this issue which affects everybody, thus working towards a general consensus.
Residents of Calvià Town and Capdellà will have the opportunity of stating whether or not they are in agreement with the subsidised housing in their areas. At the end of next week they should receive a letter in the post explaining the reasons for the survey and giving the choices to be made in the form of a survey.
Those residents who are on the Town Hall register (Padrón) will be able to express their views by completing the survey which accompanies the letter This can then be left as of Monday 21st January and up until Friday 25th January (Inclusive) at either the Town Hall in Calvià or Mon Rural Calle Major in Capdellà between the hours of 09.00 and 14.00.
In this municipality there are already several subsidised housing projects completed. There are some 102 houses in Son Ferrer, 31 in Galatzó, 104 in Calle Puig de Saragossa. Additionally there are 48 in Calvià Town and a further two estates of 32 and 28 respectively in Son Ferrer. We must also bear in mind the recently built "adapted houses" in Son Ferrer (5) Galatzó(3) and Calvià Town (3).
