Recovers the four routes of the Galatzó.

Every wonderful corner of the Galatzo estate is accesible to all residents of Calvià and its visitors. The Town Hall , headed up by Mayor Carlos Delgado has completed the reconditioning and signposting within the Galatzó public estate, these four new routes will allow us to go further into the depths of the estate to explore.

The reconditioning of these routes forms a small part of the global work being carried out in order that the residents of Calvià can enjoy the estate as well as tourists and visitors to the area. The Mayor has set an objective to preserve and improve this historical patrimony, arquitectually, ethnographically and biogeographically over the 14 million square metres.

The four routes cover Ses Cases-Sa Vinya, Ses Cases-Ses Sinies, Ses Cases-Ses Planes and Ses Cases-S'Esclop all of which offer a walk through history, through natural treasures, the flora and fauna are amongst the richest and most magical of the Balearic community.

The first route from Ses Cases and sa Vinya has a distance of 4 kilometres between the two points and has an average walking time of three hours. The route takes in a old agricultural area and has rich ethnographical and arqueologiacl landscapes. The tour finishes up at an green area of 425 metres at the head of a beautiful valley surrounding Puig den Castellet and passes through the cultivated areas of the estate. There are also two prehistoric sites, Puig se s'Argolla and es Tramuntanal both of which are registered.

The second route from Ses Cases-Ses Sinies is considered low difficulty and the return time is around 3 hours 15 minutes for the 4.5 kilometre round walk. The walk is set around the Nortern part of the estate alongside the Torrente de Galatzo and also has great ethnographical and arqueological landscapes.

Route number three Ses Cases-Ses Planes takes around 2 hours and has a rating of low to medium difficulty. The route comprises of a very interesting 3 kilometres from a biogeographical landscape point of view. It is a stone route which unites the old houses of the estate with the agricultural area of Ses Planes. On this route you can observe the houses of Galatzó the Acequia of Ratxo and above all the impressive landscape of the Galatzó valley from North to South at the bay of Santa Ponçaa. The tour finishes in an area where you can see the houses of roter and the aquaduct. From this point there are marvellous views of the northern part of the estate and Mola de s'Eclop, its also interesing to see the vegetation of this area all the way up to the high point of Galatzó.

Finally the fourth route taking in Ses Cases-S'Esclop wjth a duration of around 4 hours 30 minutes this is considered medium to difficult. The distance between the two points is 5.5..Located at the North of the estate alongside the Torrente de Galatzo and as far up as Mola de S'Esclop this route stands out for its impressive views and richness.

All four of these routes offer an opportunity for residents, neighbours, visitors and tourists who wish to get to know this emblematic estate. In Galatzó one can enjoy fully the magical enviroment full of legend and mystery that surround the estaate including the mythical wicked Count.
