Calvià opens up three subvention channels for, The Elderly, International adoption and Disabled people
Calvià Town Hall has opened up three different grant application processes for Associations and entities that promote and develop activities for the elderly in the Calvià area, with the objective of improving wellbeing and social integration whilst carrying out activities of the Social awareness programme, disabled people and international adoption.
The application deadline for help with international adoption for interested families is 30th November. For year 2008 the Town Hall has budgeted a total of 12.000 euros and it must be considered that these grants conceded by the Town hall have an equivalent of up to a maximum of 2000 euros per adoptive family. This is to cover travel and transfer costs in economy class and basic accomodation in the country of origin of the child.
Associations and entities which have developed a programme social, cultural and sport activities with the objective of improving quality of life for the elderley may present their applications for grants up until 19th March. For this situation the Town Hall has set aside an overall budget of 20.000 euros.
Finally we must highlight that the àpplication deadline for grants for disabled people is this coming 14th March. The amount deignated to activities from within the social integration programme is 7000 euros.
