8 primary education schools in Calvià participate in a Talent and Entrepreneurship Programme.

  • Fifth-grade students participate in five workshops that range from critical reflection to public speaking
  • The goal is to enhance children's personal and social skills

Students from eight primary education schools in Calvià participate in a talent and entrepreneurship programme. The activity began as a pilot project aimed at fifth-grade students from eight pre-school and primary education schools in the municipality of Calvià: CEIP Bendinat, CEIP Son Caliu, CEIP Cas Saboners, CEIP Son Ferrer, CEIP Ses Rotes Velles, CEIP Puig de Sa Morisca, CEIP Xaloc, and CEIP Ses Quarterades. The initiative's motto is «hoy es el mayor motor de desarrollo socioeconómico de Calvià mañana» (today is the greatest engine of socioeconomic development in Calvià tomorrow). The experience was made possible thanks to IMEB (Municipal Institute of Education and Libraries of Calvià) and the school teachers' involvement.

The programme, developed from 10th to 21st March, aims to develop students' personal and social skills, fostering entrepreneurship, critical reflection, empathy, and effective communication. Through a practical approach, the goal is for students to acquire skills, thus allowing them to navigate their environment proactively and decisively, improving both their academic performance and emotional well-being.

The project aims to be a space for education on Entrepreneurship, Social Skills, and Personal Development to provide schools with the tools and skills that foster children's talents, helping them design their own paths to improve their lives and relationships with society. To this end, five workshops were held: Self-Knowledge and Role Sharing; Reflection on the Environment and Situation Analysis; Problem Solving; Emotional Education and Empathy; and Public Speaking, Communication, and Speech.
