  • Calvià has set an intense calendar for the imminent spring with more than 25 events in March, April and May. The Culture Department has presented a programming including 3 exhibitions, 4 book presentations and 10 stage productions. To do so, it counts on the three large spaces of the municipality: Sa Societat Theatre in Calvià Village, the Sala Palmanova and the Peguera Auditorium. It is precisely in Peguera where the theatre programming kicks off on 9th March with a show by the popular comedian Agustín "El Casta". Amongst others, there are performances such as Blancanieves (Snow White), a family production adapted to sign language (26th April), jazz-baroque fusion concerts (5th April) or the International Magic Festival of Mallorca which is coming to Calvià with a show from Gran Vía (3rd May).
The Town Hall's exhibition hall houses three exhibitions. The first one opens on Friday 7th March, a choral and multidisciplinary exhibition of more than twenty artists from the Ou Verd collective. In April it will be the turn of the painter resident in Calvià Hugo Soto. On 15th May the artistic legacy loaned by the gallerist Joan Guaita to the Capdepera Archive will be shown. The exhibition - which will remain open to the public until 6th June - covers four decades of the life of Guaita, who received an honourable award for his career last October at the Rei en Jaume Awards in Calvià.

There will be room for literature in these months with book presentations, from a reissue of El Comte Mal: poema en dotze cants by Guillem Colom i Ferrà (Sóller 1890 – Palma 1979) to the novelty El fénix renacido by José Castillo Navarro, amongst others. The big literary event will be on Saturday 19th April, the date chosen by the Calvià Libraries to organise, one more year, Book's Day on Es Carregador beach in Palmanova. The day has already established itself as a reference point for families to enjoy the recreational and cultural activities and the numerous stalls with authors signing books and bookstores from all over the island.

The 25th edition of Fira d’Oví i Caprí de Calvià vila (Sheep and Goat Fair of Calvià village) will be held on the weekend of 12th and 13th  April, one of the main livestock and primary sector events that is celebrating a quarter of a century. Four days of free activities for all ages have also been scheduled: Saint Patrick's Day (16th March, Santa Ponça); Saint George's Day (26th April, Palmanova); Europe Day (10th May, Palmanova; and Family Pancaritat (18th May at Es Galatzó Public Estate).

Furthermore, from 28th to 30th March, Calvià will once again host the fourth edition of Mallorca Dance Festival, one of the top ballroom dance competitions on the international calendar. On 5th and 6th April, the municipality will host the Mallorca Open 2025, a Rubik's cube tournament endorsed by the World Cube Association (WCA) that is expected to bring together more than a hundred participants from at least 13 countries.

Young people have an obligatory date with the Talent Jove gala on 3rd May at the Sala Palmanova, as well as being able to participate in a Recull Literari (literary compilation) competition.
