The second year of the campaign promoted by the Town Hall to encourage local commerce has convinced residents
The Calvià lo Vale campaign 14.400 discount vouchers for Christmas shopping lasted only 11 days. They were made available to Calvià residents on 2nd December and on Friday 13th December, they sold out. This is an initiative of Calvià Town Hall's Commerce area launched last year to encourage consumption in local establishments and which this Christmas has been repeated with a great reception by the citizens.
The campaign was activated on Monday 2nd December. The Town Hall put into circulation 14.400 vouchers aimed at over 16-year-old people residing in the municipality. The citizens paid 10 euros per voucher that was exchanged for purchases in local shops worth 20 euros. Each person could request a maximum of 4 vouchers. Thus, the Town Hall has complemented the purchases of residents in the shops of the municipality with 144.000 euros, which this year have expedited the collection of the vouchers thanks to an agreement with the Chamber of Commerce.
Citizens who have vouchers can use them until 31st January 2025.
