- 1.000 people will participate in the race
- The event sold out its registrations during the month of November 2024
Next Sunday 9th March, starting at 8:30 a.m., Es Capdellà will host the start and finish of the Galatzó Trail 2025. A mountain race that runs mainly through the public estate of Galatzó and other surrounding mountain paths. It is one of the most important trail events in the Balearic Islands. The race, which year after year sells out registrations months before its celebration, will debut a new distance in 2025, EXPLORER (12 K), and also a maximum number of participants, one thousand.
Three distances
The race, which until 2024 was held over two distances, LEGEND (+43 km) and HALF (+23 km), will incorporate a new route for the 2025 edition, EXPLORER (+12 km). With this new route, the organisation seeks to offer an alternative for those who are starting out in mountain races and are looking for an affordable distance in which to compete.

100% mountain routes
One of the great attractions of Galatzó Trail is its circuits. These are beautiful and emblematic mountain routes that run through some of the most impressive points of the Serra de Tramuntana and that test the physical abilities of participants.
-Galatzó Legend: mountain marathon with a maximum gradient of 2.237 m. The race starts in Plaça de Sa Vinya in Es Capdellà, to enter the Galatzó public estate. Routes that are part of the historical, natural and archaeological heritage of the municipality and that lead participants to two of the most emblematic peaks of the Serra de Tramuntana, Es Galatzó (1.027 m) and S’Esclop (927 m).
-Galatzó Half: mountain half marathon of approximately 23 km. The race runs entirely along trails in the Serra de Tramuntana, specifically the LIC areas of Es Galatzó and S’Esclop, Puig de Na Bauçà and the Galatzó public estate. During its development, participants face a route with an approximate positive gradient of 1.133 m.
-Galatzó Explorer: the route allows us to get to know the surroundings closest to the Galatzó Estate, offering a first trail experience along simple paths with little gradient.
Participation success with a tourist component
The race has established itself as one of the best trail options in the Balearic Islands. For the 2025 edition, it will have 1.000 participants, the maximum established. The event also contributes to the fight against the tourist seasonality of the area through sport, since almost 25% of the registered come from other countries in Europe.

Edition's novelties
The Galatzó Trail 2025 edition, in addition to introducing a new distance, GALATZÓ EXPLORER, will also incorporate more entertainment in the start and finish area: drum bands, children's activities, DJ and other actions in order to liven up the area. New services are being added to improve the race experience (race number collection at different points, new products at refreshment stations, etc.)Organisation, sponsorship and support
Galatzó Trail is organised by Fundación Calvià 365 and Ajuntament de Calvià with the support of the Federació Balear de Muntanya i Escalada. In addition, the event has the support of private entities such as Reserva Park, Tribe Concept and Highland and Gold Mallorca.
This race would not be possible without the invaluable help of the municipality's sports clubs that provide volunteering equipment; without the entities that ensure safety, protection and emergencies at the event (Local Police, Civil Protection, etc.); and without the collaboration of Calvià citizens.
