IFOC celebrates the success of its recruitment days to promote local employment with more than 600 jobs.

Calvià Town Hall's Training and Employment Institute (IFOC), held a series of successful recruitment days during February and March for companies based in the municipality. These days, designed to promote local employment and offer job opportunities to residents, brought together numerous companies that expressed interest in meeting and recruiting the best candidates for their vacancies.

Several renowned companies actively participated in the days, including Hotel Bendinat, Allsun Hotels, Hotel Dreams Calvià, Zafiro, Kimpton Aysla Mallorca, BQ Hotels, Mercadona, and Eroski. The latter two companies, Mercadona and Eroski, collaborated with the IFOC in the selection process through the Balearic Islands Employment Service (SOIB). Furthermore, during April, a new recruitment event will be held with Meliá Hotels International, with 120 job openings.

Thanks to this initiative, participants have had the opportunity to access recruitment processes that respond to the specific needs of local companies. Furthermore, direct contact has been facilitated between employers and those interested in entering the labour market, highlighting the importance of strengthening the local business network and promoting job placement in the community.

The IFOC highlights the success of these events, which have been very well received by both the participating companies and the unemployed and job seekers, who have had the opportunity to submit their profiles and skills directly to hiring managers.

In addition, on 25th March, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., a Job Fair will be held for the first time at the Casal de Peguera, organised in collaboration with the Peguera and Cala Fornells Hotel Association. This fair will have 149 vacancies to cover the summer season, representing an excellent opportunity for those seeking employment in the area. Interested applicants must bring copies of their curriculum vitae in order to share them with the participating companies.

Calvià Town Hall, through the IFOC, will continue promoting these types of initiatives that contribute to improving employability in the municipality and to local economic development.
