From 28th to 30th March, the Galatzó sports centre in Calvià will become the dance epicentre with the celebration of the 4th edition of the Mallorca Dance Festival, an international event that will bring together Europe's best dancers in the Standard and Latin categories.
The Mallorca Dance Festival is a benchmark event in the world of dance, bringing together high-level competitors and dance lovers in a unique environment. With a combination of competition and performance, the festival offers a unique experience for dancers and spectators alike.
The festival will host six European Dance Championships, consolidating itself as one of the most anticipated competitions on the circuit. Furthermore, it will be the first time in history that the absolute Standard and Latin championships will be held in the same location, marking an unprecedented milestone in the world of dancesport.
Registrations are still being accepted, but the number of participants from 47 different countries has already surpassed 1.950, confirming the magnitude and prestige of the event. Over three days, the public will be able to enjoy more than 50 international competitions, where dancers from around the world will come together to showcase their talent, technique, and passion for dance. The judging panel will be composed of more than 60 internationally renowned judges, ensuring impartiality and the highest level in the competitions' evaluation.
The event is held under the umbrella of the Federación Española de Baile Deportivo (FEBD) (Spanish DanceSport Federation), the Federació Balear de Ball Esportiu (Balearic DanceSport Federation) and the Federación Mundial de Baile (WDSF) (World DanceSport Federation). It is also recognised by the Consejo Superior de Deportes (National Sports Council) and is a member of the Comité Olímpico Internacional (COI) (International Olympic Committee).
Mallorca Dance Festival is organised by Jordi Fàbrega and Maira Pomar, directors of the Centre de Ball Mallorca dance school, who have worked tirelessly to establish this event as a benchmark on the international circuit.
