The Aerotib A11 line, which connects the Calvià area with the airport, adds new stops and strengthens the service as of 1st April.

  • The Regional Government's improvement in the TIB network's bus concessions allows the lines to the airport to be maintained throughout the year, including winter

The Aerotib A11 line intercity bus service, which connects the main coastal towns of Calvià with the airport, extends its route, with three new stops, and strengthens the service, as of 1st April. This was the first Aerotib line to be launched this winter, a result of the improvements introduced by the Regional Government to bus service concessions, which have allowed the airport to maintain service year-round from various areas of Mallorca.

As of 1st April, line A51, connecting Campos and Llucmajor with Son Sant Joan, will also resume service, while as of Monday, 24th March, line A42 Cala Bona - Airport will begin operating. In addition, since last Saturday, the Aerotib A32 line service, connecting the Can Picafort area with the airport and connecting municipalities such as Alcúdia, Sa Pobla, and Inca with Son Sant Joan, is now available.

Regarding the improvements to the line between the Calvià area and the airport, which has been operational since last December and currently runs from Peguera, its route will be extended as of 1st April. On the one hand, it restores last year's line header, starting in Camp de Mar instead of Peguera, and on the other, and as a novelty this year, it adds three new stops: two in Portals Nous and one in Bendinat. In addition, the service is also being strengthened, increasing from the current 16 daily trips in each direction to 22, with the first departure from Camp de Mar at 4:45 a.m. and the last departure from the airport at 12:10 a.m.

The improvements that the Regional Government has introduced to the TIB intercity bus service, by modifying the contracts of the three bus concessions in Mallorca, to adapt the service to demand and the increase in users in recent years—a 20% increase by 2024—has allowed for an expansion of the bus fleet, an improvement of current routes, and the provision of all Aerotib lines from several municipalities to the airport throughout the year, including the low season. In addition, thanks to the increased service, new timetables will be added starting on 1st April to reinforce several lines and summer lines will be resumed.

The route and timetables for the lines can be consulted at tib.org.
