What We Do
The Calvià Commerce Department primary mission is to support the merchants of the municipality. To achieve this, we undertake various initiatives aimed at improving the relationship between the commercial sector and the Town Hall, as well as boosting local economic activity.
Actions for Businesses:
- We facilitate dealings with the Town Hall and its various departments, including processing activity licenses and the corresponding registrations.
- We manage authorizations for stalls at annual and seasonal markets.
- We provide information on grants, subsidies, and quality programs, offering support to merchants to help them access resources that best benefit their business.
- We offer advice on the modernization or renovation of commercial premises, always aligned with the interests and objectives of business owners.
Other Actions:
- We promote the connection between commercial offerings and leisure and dining activities, creating a dynamic and attractive environment that showcases our commercial fabric to locals and visitors.
- We collaborate with other administrations to implement Sectoral Quality Plans, supporting all types of businesses and establishments in their integration.
- We organize fairs, exhibitions, and various events to position Calvià’s commercial spaces as key destinations.
- We manage weekly markets, from Monday to Sunday, and craft markets, ensuring their smooth operation for the enjoyment of residents and tourists.
- We sign agreements with Business Associations that generate direct benefits for local merchants and entrepreneurs.
Tourism-Commercial Actions:
- We maintain close collaboration with hospitality and accommodation managers to enhance the quality of the tourism offering.
- We continuously work to make Calvià an attractive destination year-round, fostering information channels and dialogue, and promoting ongoing cooperation to strengthen this goal.
