CALVIÀ LAUNCHES EXCELLENCE AWARDS TO BOOST LOCAL BUSINESS
The Calvià City Council has opened registrations for the Excellence Awards 2024, aimed at highlighting and promoting the role of local businesses. These awards are designed to recognize the contributions of Calvià's businesses to the economic and social development of the municipality.
The Excellence Awards feature five categories: Innovative Business, Family Business, Local Commerce, Year-Round Business, and Tourism Business. Each category focuses on specific characteristics such as innovation, family tradition, customer proximity, year-round operations, and significance in the tourism sector.
The process will culminate in the selection of three finalists per category, who will receive a promotional feature about their businesses at no cost. Winners, chosen by a jury of representatives from the City Council, local businesses, and media, will be announced at the Excellence Gala 2024, scheduled for November. The awards include a statuette designed by artist Carlos Terroba and a cash prize of €300, contingent upon attendance at the event.
All businesses in Calvià can participate, except for those that won in 2023. Registrations are free and can be submitted through the official Calvià City Council website.
Interested participants can fill out the forms available in the related files. Applications can be processed through municipal offices or online.
Further information regarding required documents and eligibility can be found in the General Regulatory Bases published in the Official Bulletin of the Balearic Islands on August 24.
