The championship will take place 29th and 30th April and 1st May 2011 at the Galatzó sports hall
The Galatzó sports hall will hold the second edition of the Mallorca Dance Sport Challenge, the 29th and 30th April and 1st May thanks to the agreement signed between the Mayor of Calvià, Carlos Delgado; the Foundation Calvià 2004 secretary general, Jaime Martínez and the Barceló Esport i Oci S.L administrator, Francisca Barceló.
The celebration of this type of events, usually practiced in other Spanish areas and with a worldwide recognition, will contribute to promote Calvià as a tourist destination, contributing a diversified and distinctive offer and, at the same time, favouring the increase of the hotel occupation in the municipality. Therefore, the Town Hall will give to the organising company, which counts with great experience in the organization of these events, such as the 10 Dances Senior I World Championship in Palma or the I Sport Dancing Championship on the Balearic Islands, the necessary municipal material to be able to carry out mentioned competition.The company will assume the installation of the necessary infrastructure and will take responsability of all aspects with regard to its organization.The Mallorca Dance Sport Challenge will include:
