The Calvià Town Hall, together with the Balearic Government's Commission "Tots per sa Serra'', has organised a Reforestation Day for Saturday 22nd March in Andratx.
Due to the tragic forest fire which took place last Summer 2013 in Sa Serra de Tramuntana, the Calvià Town Hall, together with the Balearic Government's Commission "Tots per sa Serra", has organised a Reforestation Day for Saturday 22nd March in Andratx.
The Calvià Town Hall will put a bus at disposal of the participating volunteers in order to avoid their car ride to the municipality of Andratx, where the forest recovery action will take place. As the reforestation season has finished, the action will consist of a clean-up and the restoration of the road Sa Gramola-Es Rajolí of Andratx. This reforestation action is of vital environmental importance for the restoration of the affected area, the fight against the erosion and the protection of the vegetation which is starting to reappear after a year of the fire.
The participation in this forest action day is open and free of charge, although places are limited for the first 100 registrations. It is indispensable to previously register before 19th March, by electronic mail or telephone or through the Calvià Town Hall's Calvià for the Climate office:
