Calvià receives since March water from the desalination plant of Andratx

Visit to the desalination plant of Andratx.

On the occasion of the start up of the desalination plant of Andratx, a visit has been undertaken which was attended by the Regional Government's Minister of Environment, Agriculture and Fisheries, Vicenç Vidal; the Deputy Mayor of Calvià and President of Calvià 2000, Andreu Serra; and the Mayor of Andratx, Jaume Porsell.


Calvià already receives, since this month of March, water from this desalination plant which has been six years without working, and in which the Regional Government has invested 49,154.32 euros, enabling the supply to Calvià.


The desalination plant produces 14,000 cubic metres of water a day, and serves liquid to Andratx and Calvià.


Andreu Serra has thanked the start up of this resource that is integrated in the Drought Plan which Calvià 2000 is developing along with other departments of the Town Hall.


The visit was also attended by the manageress of Calvià 2000 Sonia Moragues.
