Detention for an alleged crime against the public health
The Local Police of Calvià, around 6.30 p.m. on 10th July 2016, proceeded to arrest in Magaluf a 42-year-old Senegalese citizen, Pape R.C., for a crime against the public health. Two policemen in civilian clothes who were conducting a control of public relations and advertising ordinance offences, could see how the detainee, with the excuse of selling on the street, approached a young man and after talking with him, after reaching an agreement, went towards the stairs of some adjacent galleries. They saw that from a hiding place he took out a bag, and after grabbing part of its content, again left it in its hiding place and went towards the young man to give him what they previously agreed.
Once intercepted buyer and seller, it was found that the first acknowledged having bought marijuana to the second.
The police officers seized amongst what the detainee was carrying and what was in the hiding place- the following material:
26 thermo-sealed doses wrapped in white containing a white substance that might correspond to cocaine.
7 reclosable transparent plastic bags with a green vegetable substance which by its smell and texture can be matched with marijuana.
25 split euros.
After conducting the due diligence by the Report Unit of the Local Police, the detainee, the seized drugs and utensils will be transferred to the Judicial Police Unit of the Guardia Civil.
