The location will be within the municipality and in the vicinity of the existing Magalluf sports centre. This project will require that the Balearic government invest some 6 million Euros, and will take around 10 months to complete once the licenses are obtained.

The sports ground will cover an area of 20,000 square metres, consisting of sports tracks, football pitch ( 16,000 Sq metres) a parking lot ( 2,296 Sq metres ) and a main building ( 1,993 Sq metres ).

The new sports ground will enhance the excellent resort facilities already on offer thus improving the whole area. High standards will ensure that events of a national and international level will take place there. The circular 400 metre track will have lanes of 1.22 metres alongside a training area to protect the grass areas.

The natural lawn football pitch will measure 100 x 70 metres and will attract teams from Central Europe and Scandinavia in the Winter months. This important project will strengthen the potential for tourism given that it will be available for private use as well as big events.
