CALVIÀ TOWN HALL PROPOSES TO RETRIEVE THE PUBLIC USE OF TWO PUBLIC PATHS OF THE MUNICIPALITY
This is part of ses Marjades path of Son Pillo and the path that goes from ses Barraques to Torà
The Calvià Town Hall will present, at the Plenary session to be held on this forthcoming Thursday, the commencement of the administrative file to retrieve the public use of a part of ses Marjades path of Son Pillo and the path that goes from ses Barraques to Torà.
The first initiative proposes to retrieve through administrative proceedings the public use of the public path Ses Marjades of Son Pillo which connects the village of Calvià with Santa Ponça, in order to eliminate the public use restrictions, which prohibit, restrict and close the use in a section with a total length of 613,28 metres, located between the road of Son Bugadelles and Calvià along the Molí Nou path and the Son Pillo path itself, which starts at the junction of the road Calvià-Palmanova.
The objective of the second initiative is to retrieve through administrative proceedings the public use of the public path that goes from ses Barraques to Torà which links from the path of Molí Nou, next to l'Hort de Son Estades, to Peguera, in order to eliminate the public use restrictions, which prohibit, restrict and close the walkway of the area of ses Barraques by a metal barrier grid, banners and signs as well as the signage prohibiting the passage at the end of the section that links the road of Peguera with es Capdellà.
Both proposals grant a hearing period of 15 days to the owners of the lands affected to make representations.
These initiatives reflect the commitment of the government team to retrieve the public paths of the municipality of Calvià. In this regard, in November 2015, the Plenary group unanimously passed a motion of Esquerra Oberta in defence of the public-use paths.
