CALVIÀ TOWN HALL UNDERTAKES THE WORKS TO AVOID FLOODS IN THE AREA OF SES ILLETES
The works, which will go on for about 3 months, cost 299.000 euros
The Calvià Town Hall has begun the works to prevent floods in the area of ses Illetes, in case of heavy rains in short periods of time.
To prevent possible flooding before the start of these works, a preliminary interim intervention was carried out with the completion of a drainage well. Now, the actions that are considered to be the definitive ones to avoid situations in which the zone has been flooded causing major damages have begun.
The works consist in putting drainage points in Estepa St. of Cas Català, to channel the rainwater and redirect it to prevent it from reaching the road. Large gutters will also be made to collect water on the road itself.
The works will go on for approximately 3 months and will cost 299.000 euros.
