The Town Hall of Calvià has allocated an extraordinary amount of 10,000 euros in 2016 in aid to farmers as a response for the effects of adverse climatology
The Town Hall of Calvià has allocated a total of 41,000 euros this year in aid to farmers of the municipality, which has meant a 36% increase over last year, since in 2016 there has been an extraordinary amount for 10,000 euros.
The Natural and Urban area enabled this extra amount to respond to the adverse weather conditions.
Thus, this year in which there have been 163 aid applicants (10 more than in 2015), 47,300 kg of fertilizer, 19,400 kg of feed for sheep and goats, and 634 trees (almonds, figs, carob trees, fruit trees and olive trees) have been given, and also the additional 33,300 kg of the extraordinary call for 10,000 euros of sheep and goat feed.
Recently, the Deputy Mayor for Tourism, Commerce and Urban Planning, Antonio García Moles, and the Councillor for Environment and Activities, Francisca Muñoz, handed the fertilizer over to farmers of the municipality.
