THE LLAR OF CALVIÀ RESPIR SERVICE HAS HAD 79 USERS AND MORE THAN 800 STAYS SINCE IT STARTED IN AUGUST 2015
It is an aid that is offered to caregiver families
Since August 2015, Llar de Calvià S.A. offers Respir, a public service requested for a long time by the caregiver families of the municipality, and that offers them the option to have, for a defined period of time, temporary residence in the Municipal Senior Citizens Home of Calvià.
Since its implementation, a total of 79 users have used this service, with a total of 860 stays.
- From August 2015 to December 2015: 10 users, with a total of 127 stays
- From January 2016 to December 2016: 41 users, with a total of 438 stays
- From January 2017 to 15th June 2017: 28 users, with a total of 295 stays
The duration of the temporary stay in the Senior Citizens Home is between 1 week and 20 days, and the circumstances to apply for the public service offered are diverse: for the respite care of caregivers, by convalescence, by urgency, or by unexpected hospitalisation of the caregiver, amongst others.
