Recognition of the Calvià Town Hall to the athlete Joan Munar Martínez

The Mayor of Calvià receives the athlete once the World Athletics Championships in London in which it obtained silver medal in 200 ms and bronze in 100 m.

The calvian athlete Joan Munar Martínez, received today the recognition of the Town Hall for his achievements at both national and international level.
The Mayor of Calvià, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, today received the Paralympic athlete, along with the Sports Deputy Mayor, Eva Serra, conveying the congratulations and support of the municipality for the recent successes, such as the two medals in the London World Athletics Championships.
Joan Munar is a Paralympic athlete who competes in modality T12 (visual impairment). In the 2017 London World Championship he won the silver medal in 200 m T12 with a time of 22'60" and the bronze in 100 m T12 with a time of 11'09".
In the Paralympic Games of Rio he obtained the Olympic diploma in the 400 m T12, finishing in the fourth place, and in the 200 ms T12, ending in the sixth position.
In the European Championship CT Europe Grosseto 2016 was the first classified in the 400 m T12 category, and third in the 200 m T12.
