CALVIÀ TOWN HALL FORMALISES AN AGREEMENT TO SPONSOR THE YOUNG CALVIAN MOTORIST JORGE HERNÁNDEZ
He is currently participating in the Supersport 300 Speed Spanish Championship and he is planning to race at the 2017 Superbike World Championship Wild Card Race to be held at Jerez circuit from 20th to 22nd October
The Calvià Town Hall has formalised a sponsorship agreement with the legal representatives of the young Calvian motorist Jorge Hernández Rodríguez to collaborate with his participation in the 2017 Superbike World ChampionshipWild Card Race.
Jorge Hernández is a young 16-year-old motorist living in Calvià. Member of the Balearic Federation of Motorcycling, he has participated in several championships, being the winner in 2014 of the Balearic Islands DS Speed Cup. In 2015 he participated in the CBR 250 Honda Cup in which he finished in fourth position.
He is currently leading the U18 A MX2 Motocross Balearic Championship, is participating in the Supersport 300 Speed Spanish Championship, and is planning to race at the 2017 Superbike World ChampionshipWild Card Race at Jerez circuit, a competition with worldwide impact which will take place between 20th and 22nd October 2017.
The Town Hall, through the Youth Department, will collaborate with the amount of 3,000 euros so that Jorge Hernández can assume part of the cost of the enrollment in the 2017 SBK World ChampionshipWild Card Race. The agreement envisages the collaboration of the Town Hall as a sponsor, therefore the logo of Calvià Town Hall will appear on the helmet, on the arm of the motorcycle suit and on the motorcycle fairing to be used in the Supersport 300 Speed Spanish Championship and in the 2017 SBK World ChampionshipWild Card Race.
The agreement has been signed by the Deputy Mayor for Youth and Citizen Participation, Fernando Alcaraz, and by Jorge's parents; Jorge Hernández Pozo and Laura Rodríguez Aguilar. The Deputy Mayor has pointed out that the consistory intends through agreements like this one to give support to young people of the municipality at the beginning of their professional careers to participate in important international events.
