CALVIÀ REMEMBERS DIEGO SALVÁ LEZAUN AND CARLOS SÁENZ DE TEJADA
Calvià remembered on Tuesday the two young civil guards Diego Salvá Lezaun and Carlos Sáenz de Tejada, on the 10th anniversary of their assassination in Palmanova. The event, convened by the Calvià Town Hall and organised jointly with the Civil Guard, was attended by the Municipal Corporation headed by the mayor, Alfonso Rodríguez Badal, the President of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Francina Armengol; the delegate of the acting Government, Ramon Morey; the chief colonel of the Civil Guard of the Balearic Islands, Alejandro Hernández, and other authorities of the islands, as well as relatives, friends and companions of Diego and Carlos.
The mayor has addressed a few words to the people present (which can be heard ) and the act has ended with a floral offering, at the monolith that has been installed next to two large portraits of the two civil guards, which Diego Salvá parents, the mayor and the president, have opened.
