New School Nursery school in Galatzó.

 

Calvia Town Hall has responded to the needs of residents of the Galatzó urbanization with the inauguration of a new nursery school. Es Molinet has a capacity for 41 toddlers between the ages of 0 and 3 years old. Parents will no longer need to commute to Santa Ponça or Calvià Village to have their children looked after during their working day.


The Mayor of Calvià Carlos Delgado, along with the Deputy Mayor of education Esperanza Català, and the Councillor of Galatzó, Constantina Hernandez opened this new nursery on Wednesday 12th March.


Es Molinet nursery school has an overall surface meterage of 329,12 square metres and is built close to the Galatzó pavillion and the public school. There was an overall investment of 532.622,90 Euros. Building took less than 1 year, there is a hall and three nursery rooms. One of the rooms is for babies from 0-1 year old (for 8 babies.) One is for babies between 1 and 2 years old (and has a capacity for 13 babies.) The nursery room for 1-2 year olds has a capacity for 20 babies and toddlers.

There is also a multi-use room ,office, store room,adapted hygiene room, kitchen, bathroom and laundry.


The team of professionals consists of a coordinator, 3 educators, an assistant, a cook and a cleaner.

Including this new nursery there are now a total 10 nursery schools within the Municipality of Calvià. The objective is to assist the smooth running of family life along with working life. Head of the Government team Carlos Delgado has carriued out these important projects during this and the last legislature. The project includes refurbishing and modernization of existing nurseries as well as the building of new ones, all important improvements.
