Independent of the School.

It is important to highlight that this initiative is in no way dependant on which school is attended, as long as the student is a resident and registered on the Padron of Calvià. The only conditions which apply are that the pupil should be in Infant, Primary or Secondary education. Obligatory Secondary eduction depends on whether the school is public or private and whether or not it is in the municipality of Calvià.

Calvià Town Hall opened the way up in 2006 when they announced this initiative for text book assistance. Since then some 10.000 resident children have benefitted from this help over the years which total some 1.433,370 Euros. This is only one of the initiatives introduced by the Goverment team of mayor Carlos Delgado since he became elected, thus proving his interest in educational material.
