Every Friday in April a total of 42 restaurants will offer a lunchtime and a dinner menu according to the number of "forks" that the establishment has

Following the great success of the last "Cookery showcase" in Calvià hosted by Mayor Carlos Delgado, it has been decided to repeat the experience in the same format as 2008. Therefore for the second year running and under the heading  "Calvià is good enough to eat" every Friday during April the showcase will be going on in and around Calvià.

There are a total of 42 restaurants, 15 of which are in Son Caliu, Palmanova,Magaluf; and Son Ferrer where the showcase will take place on 3rd April,. 9 are in Santa Ponsa, Son Bugadellas, and El Toro , Friday 10th April, 11 are in Paguera, Cala Fornells and Calvià Friday 17th April, and finally 7 restaurants in Cas Catala, Bendinat and Portals on 24th April.

The Town Hall thus offers direct promotion for the restaurants in order to promote the quality and the gastronomic offering of the Calvià region. At the same time keeping costs down for the reataurants in question who dont need to send staff out to a food fair as people who have previously booked will actually go to the restaurant in question.

The cookery showcase was open for all restaurants and 42 have signed up to participate ( this is 6 more than last year). Prices have been set and are the same for both lunchtime and evening. Price depends on the category of the restaurant i.e. Number or forks. 1 fork restaurants will have a set charge of 7 euros, 2 forks will cost 10 euros and finally 3 forks will have a cost of 15 euros.

The timetable for all restaurants is 13.30 – 15.30 and 19.30 -23.00 bookings should be made in advance.
