The rental aid for housing in Calvià 2024-2025 is aimed at people over 18 years of age or emancipated minors who are registered in the municipality and have a valid rental contract according to Law 29/1994, on urban leases. It is necessary that the rented home is in the municipality of Calvià, is the habitual and permanent address of the applicant and his or her cohabitation unit, and that the rent does not exceed 900 euros per month. In addition, applicants must be up to date with rent payments at the time of submitting the application and have Spanish nationality, from a Member State of the European Union, the European Economic Area or Switzerland. Non-EU foreigners must have legal residence in Spain.
The deadline for submitting applications for housing rental aid in the municipality of Calvià will be open from 16th December 2024 to 16th January 2025, both days included. During this period, interested parties must submit all the required documentation within the established deadline for their application to be considered.To be a beneficiary, the income of the cohabitation unit for the 2023 fiscal year must not exceed certain limits: in the general case, 1.800 euros per month on average or 25.200 euros per year; in large families of general category or single-parent families, the limit is 33.600 euros per year; and for large families of special category or people with disabilities (33% intellectual or developmental, or 65% physical), the limit is 42.000 euros per year.
The necessary documentation includes the completed aid application, the rental contract (if it has not been submitted in previous calls or if it has changed) and bank receipts for rental payments from September to December 2024 (or January 2025 if applicable). Payments must have been made by direct debit or bank transfer, indicating the payer, the recipient, the month, the amount and the date of payment. Incomplete receipts or cash payments will not be accepted. The subsidy period is from 1st September 2024 to 31st August 2025 and the aid covers up to 40% of the monthly rent, with a maximum of 900 euros. These grants are not compatible with other rental aid from public or private organisations, except in exceptional cases approved by the social services of the Town Hall.
