Calvià Town Hall today signed a collaboration agreement with the Treball Solidiari entity for the transfer of use of a municipal premises. The agreement has been signed by the councilwoman for Youth and Citizen Participation, Marga Plomer, and by the manager of Treball Solidari, Antonio Sierra. The duration of the transfer of use of the premises, which is located on the Camí de sa Porrassa in Magaluf, will be one year, renewable up to a maximum of four years.

Plomer has pointed out that the Town Hall collaborates as much as possible so that social entities can carry out their work in the municipality, and, precisely, one of these support actions is the transfer of municipal spaces to associations of a social nature that they need to be able to carry out their work in better conditions.

The Treball Solidari entity is a non-profit organisation whose purpose is to carry out activities of a social nature, promoting the creation of companies with resident women, in situation or risk of social and / or financial exclusion in Calvià.

Calvià Town Hall has collaborated in recent years with the entity in the development of Confía, a programme through which microcredits are granted to women in the municipality in vulnerable situations so that they can develop a business idea and work on it to make it viable. The objective is to allow the women who participate to get out of the situation of economic vulnerability in which they find themselves.

In the last collaboration of the Town Hall with Treball Solidari in relation to the Confía programme, two new lines of microcredits were opened: for families in vulnerable situations and for SMEs in the municipality.
