Calvià grants aid to sports entities in the municipality that increases up to 360.000€. This represents an increase of 12.5 percent compared to the previous year, going from 325.000€ in 2023 to 360.000€ in 2024. A total of 50 clubs and entities benefit from the aid. The grants have been managed through the ICE (Institut Calvianer d’Esports) and have already been given to the clubs.

Javier Tascón, deputy mayor responsible for Sports, has pointed out the commitment of the municipal Government team to the clubs and entities and their value as "drivers of physical activity and a breeding ground for champions who bear the name of Calvià, beyond our borders." He has also valued their social function, since "they promote values such as effort and discipline, as well as healthy habits." In this regard, he recalled the launch of the Municipal School of Healthy Habits that offers advice on physical exercise, nutrition and emotional well-being, promoting a comprehensive approach to health for all ages and at all sporting levels.

Tascón has insisted that the promotion of sport is one of the main axes of the Town Hall, both internally and externally: "we take the practice of sport and its impact on society and the promotion of the municipality as a sports tourism destination very seriously. We have a calendar of  international benchmark tests, first-class facilities open all year round and a network of exemplary clubs and entities.
