SWIM FOR MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS
On Sunday 14th July, at the Municipal Sports Centre's swimming-pool in Magaluf, Avda. de las Palmeras, 23.
There will be children's games, aquagym and synchronised swimming exhibitions, solidarity metres and stands with merchandising.
An opportunity to show solidarity by showing your support.
Multiple Sclerosis is a central nervous system disease (CNS). The immune system attacks the myelin of the brain, the spine and the optic nerves, which prevents communication between the CNS and the rest of the body. There are 1,100 people diagnosed in the Balearic Islands.
It is detected mostly aged between 20 and 40. The symptoms that may occur are:
Difficulty walking, cognitive and mood changes, fatigue and weakness, vision problems and pain.
The cause or cure of MS is not known, so research needs everyone's support.
