ASIAN COOKING WORKSHOP WITH NAOMI MIZOGUCHI
An Asian cooking workshop, held on Saturday 29th May at IES Calvià, was the last activity of the FRIKI WEEK activities organised by Calvià Town Hall's Youth Department.
A dozen youths from Calvià, Asian culture lovers, participated and wanted to learn how to make some of the typical dishes that appear in their favourite Japanese series, movies and comics.
They learned how to make:
Makis (sushi rice and seaweed rolls with different fillings)
Yakitori (chicken with vegetables skewers)
Chocolate dorayakis, dulce de leche and sweet beans (typical filling in Japan)
The IES Calvià collaborated with the Youth Service by opening its kitchens so they could carry out this activity, within those programmed in the FRIKI WEEK.
